Did you know that around 30% of the clean drinkable water that arrives in your house in flushed away as a result of inefficiencies in the design of toilets and because of our wasteful habits in the shower, basin and bathtub?
Not only is this a waste of energy (all the water has to be pumped to your tap using power – normally sourced from climate-changing fossil fuels) but water is also a scarce resource for us in the UK. Even though it rains a lot The UK has less available water per person than most other European countries. London is drier than Istanbul, and the South East of England has less water available per person than the Sudan and Syria. Surprised?
We are! And we want people to know that there are loads of easy water saving tips and products out there to help you save water and if you’re on a meter – save money aswell.
